Karsten Edwards, Chief Executive Officer

Karsten Edwards has been involved in Track and Field for more than 25 years as an athlete, coach, and administrator.  As an athlete he competed in the 1992 Olympic Trials in New Orleans.  He finished as one of the top forty 100m sprinters in the world.  Karsten's passion for working with youth drove him to start his own track and field club in 1996, Track Phi Track Elite, Inc.  In addition to his personal work with youth, Mr. Edwards has served as the 1st Vice Chair of the AAU Georgia District Athletics Executive Committee, on the AAU Georgia District Meet Management Team, and on the AAU Area 6 (formerly Region 3B) Meet Management Team.  His contributions have created a positive track and field experience for all in the track and field community.  Karsten is also an educator at Atherton Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia

Raymond T. Lanier, Chief Financial Officer

Raymond Lanier has been involved in various sports as a coach and administrator.  He began his coaching career in 1985 while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.  During the last 24 years he has coached youth, high school, and collegiate athletes.  Raymond's coaching and administrative experience in track and field began in 1994.  He developed his own youth track program, Gazelle Track Club, in 1995.  He has also served as the Meet Director for 6 years in the AAU Georgia District, and AAU Area 6 (formerly Region 3B), as a member of the AAU Georgia District Meet Management Team.  Mr. Lanier's contributions have been integral in the growth of the Georgia program, and he has implemented strategies that have effectively increased the participation locally and regionally.  Raymond is the Associate Director of Revenue and Receivable Services at Georgia State University.

 

George Stephens, Chief Operations Officer

George Stephens has 11 years of Track and Field experience and currently serves as Assistant Head Coach of the Running Panthers Track Club of Clayton County, Georgia.  Mr. Stephens also serves as the AAU Area 6 (formerly Region 3B) Executive Council 2nd Vice Chair - Multi Events.  He has been a leading member of the AAU Georgia District Meet Management Team for over 6 years.  George has also been employed with Delta Airlines for 33 years and is a Logistics Manager.

Phil Logan, Chief Research/Marketing Officer

Phil Logan has been involved in track and field as a coach and administrator for over 20 years.  He is a graduate and former All-American Football standout and the University of South Carolina.  Phil is the founder of PT Elite Track Club and The Perfect Timing Group.  He is an expert engineer in fully automatic timing (FAT) systems and founder of Georgia's largest commercial FAT timing service.  Mr. Logan is also employed as a Computer Network Engineer with Superior Essex Communications in Atlanta.
